Description of Service FTP

Description

This service allows you to monitor via FTP protocol. You can monitor any FTP server which is available on the internet and is externally accessible.

Form Field

Port	FTP server's port. (default value: 21)

	Activate this checkbox if the request is carried out over an SSL-encrypted connection. Please check in this case that the input field Port contains the corresponding value (default value: 990).

Timeout [sec]	Time in seconds before a connection attempt times out. If a timeout occurs, the status of the services is changed to Critical.

Identifier	Identifier that should be characteristic for the service. This identifier makes assigning services easier if you are using several services of the same type on one server. It is specified in the report and the notification.

Availability Report

OK	Server responding, successful connection to port, reply from FTP server

Critical	Server not responding, no connection to port within the timeout, no reply from FTP server
